2015 China Medical University – Asia University Alliance 「Conjoint Conference on Academia-Industry Cooperation」with robust activities

China Medical University (CMU) and its sister university, Asia University, held the 2015 China Medical University – Asia University Alliance 「Conjoint Conference on Academia-Industry Cooperation」on November 23 at Asia University International Conference Hall. Dean Chun-Hsu Yao of Office of Academia-Industry Cooperation led the CMU team to go to Asia University to share experiences and explore industrial needs for facilitating close collaboration between academia and industry. The biotech companies with incubators at CMU also joined this event with exhibition booths to promote academia-industrial cooperation in the development of new R&D products.


Modern application of old-fashioned strategy to benefit mankind ~ The Botanicals R&D team at China Medical University is inspired by the Nobel Prize received by a Chinese in its field

The 2015 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was announced. Youyou Tu, an 84-year-old female Chinese scientist, received the distinct honor. Investigators working on traditional Chinese and herbal medicine are particularly inspired with special significance that Chinese are endowed with the ancient wisdom to study traditional Chinese medicine. Vice President Yang-Chang Wu and Professor Yuan Shiun Chang, experts on botanical drugs, jointly exclaimed with excitement that『Old-fashioned way can generate gold!』. Applying modern science technology to explore treasure in traditional Chinese medicine, or modern application of old-fashioned strategy, will benefit mankind.


2015 China Medical University – Asia University Alliance 《U21 Innovation Competition》has been launched

《U21 Innovation Competition》jointly sponsored by China Medical University and Asia University has been launched. This event will facilitate exchange of student activities between the 2 universities and promote sharing of innovations. Students are encouraged to make registration to join the contest.
