《Academia-Industry Cooperation》 the Pathway for Graduates to Find Jobs ~ China Medical University and YungShin Global Holding Corp Develop Alliance to Cultivate Professionals for Pharmaceutical and Biotech Industry

To train professionals with expertise needed in pharmaceutical and biotech industry, China Medical University has formally developed an alliance with YungShin Global Holding Corp to facilitate academia-industry cooperation. President Wen-Hwa Lee of China Medical University and President Fang-Yu Lee of YungShin Global Holding Corp signed a letter of intent on Feb 6, 2015. Both Chairman Chang-Hai Tsai of China Medical University and Healthcare System and Chairman Fang-Chen Lee of YungShin Global Holding Corp foresee the promising future for pharmaceutical and biotech industry and share the same vision to collaborate in university teaching and pharmaceutical and biotech R&D to develop novel drugs for world-wide market.

Chairman Chang-Hai Tsai gave his visionary view on the recognized potential of pharmaceutical and biotech industry to lead the high-tech industry in the 21st Century and remarked that education and biomedical industry are without border. The China Medical University Board of Trustees therefore recruited Academician Wen-Hwa Lee from abroad to be the President to advance China Medical University to a new high and to serve Taiwan. Furthermore, China Medical University has started to develop its new campus in Taichung Gateway District with a plan to establish a biomedical park for advancing biotech industry. In the meantime, College of Pharmaceuticals is under preparation to broaden students’ career prospective and to provide China Medical University a more active role in driving the economy in Taiwan.


Cultivating World-class Healthcare Professionals and Advancing R&D Applying 3D Printer ~ China Medical University and Georgia Institute of Technology and University System of Georgia Signed a Letter of Intent

To cultivate a new generation of healthcare professionals and to improve quality of healthcare, China Medical University and Healthcare System have established the 3D Printing Medical Research Center, the first in Taiwan, by bringing in advanced engineering technology to drive research momentum.  President Wen-Hwa Lee and Prof. Yves Berthelot, Vice Provost for International Initiatives, Georgia Institute of Technology signed a letter of intent to collaborate in developing 3D printing technology for healthcare applications to benefit humans.

President Wen-Hwa Lee remarked that 3D printing technology is still in its early stage of development and will be an important element in industry in the future. China Medical University and Healthcare System will join Georgia Tech and University System of Georgia to bring in advanced engineering technology to drive research momentum, aiming to cultivate a new generation of healthcare professionals by exploring 3D printing technology in healthcare applications and by establishing a leading edge R&D center across disciplines.


《Creative Lightening Spot in Invention and Innovation》 Award Ceremony for 2014 U21 Innovation and Invention Competition at China Medical University – Asia University Alliance

The title for the 2014 U21 Innovation and Invention Competition at China Medical University – Asia University Alliance is “Creative Lightening Spot in Invention and Innovation”. After competition evaluation, the winners were announced. Among 205 applications for competition, Jing- Wei Tu and Chi-Wei Chiu from Department of Cosmeceutics, China Medical University, received awards and were presented plaques and NT 1,000 each by President Wen-Hwa Lee to recognize their innovative achievements.
