China Medical University ranks in the top 400 in the UK Times Higher Education World Reputation Ranking - Top among private universities in Taiwan

China Medical University in its advances toward the world-class level, has been recognized again for its academic achievements. In the newly released 2013 – 2014 UK Times Higher Education World Reputation Ranking, China Medical University has entered the top 400 rank for the first time. It is the second time that China Medical University is ranked in the top 200 among Asia Universities and #1 among all private universities in Taiwan.

China Medical University alumni are honored to learn the outstanding ranking based on academic performance achieved by the faculty and students. Prof. Chang-Hai Tsai, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, China Medical University and Healthcare System, is pleased to state that both the University and Healthcare System have to advance in parallel. The Board of Trustees has organized a 10 Year – 16 Billion New Century Development Blue Plan to build a University Town in the the SuiNan Bioechology Park Project, aiming to advance China Medical University and Healthcare System to the first-class university in the world. Chairman Tsai maintains that this is a promising moment for the University to evolve into a new mode.

Chairman Tsai, who is full with vision, states that academic advancement is like rafting against stream. No advance denotes backward in motion. He encourages University faculty and staff to stay tireless in an era filled with opportunities and challenges. Failing to keep pace with an evolving world means declining competitiveness.


One step forward! China Medical University ranks in the top 500 universities in the world based on the quality and quantity of scientific publications

In pace to advance to the world-class university rank, China Medical University has reached another new level based on the quality and quantity of scientific publications. In the newly released NTU Ranking, China Medical University ranks #494 in the world and #2 among all private universities in Taiwan.

In the University Ranking by Academic Performance conducted by Shanghai ChiaoTung University, China Medical University ranks #446 in the world and in the Medicine Category #132. In the UK Times Higher Education World Reputation Ranking, China Medical University is in the 351th – 400th rank and #69 among Asia Universities. In the Turkey Mideast Technology University Ranking (URAP), China Medical University ranks #441.

Dr. Lung-Yin Lo, President, China Medical University National Alumni Association – Taiwan, expressed the feelings of pride on behalf of alumni who have witnessed the impressive advances of their alma mater under the visionary leadership of Chairman Chang-Hai Tsai of the Board of Trustees and University President Jong-Tsun Huang. Alumni are eager to see further advances that are to be made by the University in the coming years.


Facilitating international sales and marketing, China Medical University and Asia University join the 2013 Japan Health Biomaterials and Food Safety and Technology Fair

China Medical University and its sister university, Asia University, have joined force to participate in the 2013 Japan Health Biomaterials and Food Safety and Technology Fair (Hi Japan & S-tec Japan) to broaden visibility in the Japan health food market. Between the 2 universities, 10 patented products were presented for opening international sales channels. These products were well received by international manufacturers. In particular, Asia Tremella fuciformis Berk T-8 developed by Asia University was a bright spot in the exhibition.

Prof. Jin Bin Wu, Dean for Academia-Industry Collaboration and Prof. Yueh-Sheng Chen led a China Medical University team of four to visit Is Great Biotech Ilnternational Co.,Ltd 3, USE Technology Co., Ltd and I-MEI  Biotechnology Co., Ltd, 3 companies with projects under development at China Medical University Incubator to have better understanding of the current operations and R&D demands. Dean Wu pledges to play an effective partner across disciplines to reduce the operation costs and to strengthen market competitiveness for these companies.
